INTERVIEW (French and English versions) :
1/ Salut Ruck P, tout d’abord merci pour ce set que tu as préparé pour RetroFuture. Pourrais tu te présenter pour ceux qui ne te connaîtraient pas ?
1/ Salut , merci à toi pour l’invitation. Je m’appelle Lucien aka Ruck P, j’ai 28 ans, Producteur et DJ de Suisse.
2/ Parles nous un peu de ton set. Quelles sont tes influences?
2/ Le set que j’ai réalisé contient les artistes comme Chief ou UNDA de Suisse. C’est en fait Chief qui m’a aidé à commencer le Beatmaking vers 2006. Je me souviens de soirées de 3-4 heures sur MSN (Messenger) ou il m’a montré des sons a lui et où on parlait de chaque éléments. Il est de toute façon une grande influence pour moi. j’ai choisi des artistes international comme Lusta Bitek (Hungary), Betty Ford Boys (Germany, Austria) et une grande partie venant des états-unis.
3/ Tu as plusieurs projets , tu peux nous en parler un peu?
3/ En tant que Ruck P, je fais surtout des Remixes, des Beats ou bien des Instrumentales pour d’autres artistes. Ensuite j’ai le projet Ruck n’ Wiz ou on est en live en tant que DJ’s, on a sorti plusieurs mixes sur soundcloud. Ensuite je fait partie du groupe Boulevard 95. C’est un projet Future Groove, plus up-tempo et électronic que mes autres projets.
4 / Je viens du milieu scratch j’ai pu voir que ton partenaire a fait le redbull threestyle , comment ca se passe pour lui?
4/ C’a a été une grande éxperience pour lui, d’aller à Tokyo pour répresenter la Suisse et même obtenir la 3ème plaçe. ça lui a ouvert quelques portes pour mixer en live et ca lui a permit de faire des connections internationale. on essaie d’aller régulierement au Studio même si il mixe souvent jusqu’à 2 fois par weekend.
5/ Quels sont d’après toi les artistes à suivre en ce moment?
5/ Il y a vraiment beaucoup de talents à découvrir. Je suis même souvent débordé quand je me retrouve sur soundcloud. J’éssaie quand même de dénicher quelques artistes: – Butcher Brown (Ces gars sont les nouveau BadBadNotGood. À mon avis, ils vont avoir un bel avenir) – Boyoom Connective (Je suis un grand fan de ce label dont des artistes comme Melodiesinfonie, UNDA ou Maloon The Boom) – Amin Payne (Je suis un grand fan de lui et surtout de la scène beatmaking Australienne).
6/ Des dates à venir?
6/ En 2016, on va surtout faire un Release avec Boulevard 95 et j’espère avoir la possibilité d’obtenir des bookings hors Suisse.

1 / Hi Vincent, thank you for the invitation. My name is Lucien aka Ruck P, I am 28 years old, Producer and DJ in Switzerland.
2 / Tell us about of your mix. What are your influences?
2 / This mix contains songs from Chief and UNDA from Switzerland. This is actually Chief who helped me start Beatmaking around 2006. I remember some evenings we stayed 3 or 4 hours on MSN (Messenger) and he showed me some of his songs and we spoked about each elements . It is anyway a big influence for me. I chosed international artists like Lusta Bitek (Hungary), Betty Ford Boys (Germany, Austria) and a large part of the others are coming from the United States.
3 / You have multiple projects, can you talk a little much about it?
3 / As Ruck P, I mostly make Remixes, Beats and Instrumentals for many other artists. Then I have the project Ruck n ‘Wiz where we go live as DJ’s, we have released several mixes on soundcloud. Then I’m part of Boulevard 95. It is a Future Groove project, more up-tempo and electronic than my other projects.
4 / I’m from the scratch scene I saw that your partner made the redbull threestyle, what’s up with him?
4 / It has been a great experience for him to go to Tokyo to represent Switzerland and even get the 3rd place. it has opened some doors for mixing live and has allowed him to make international connections. we try to go regularly in the Studio even though he often mixes up to 2 times per weekend.
5 / What are in your opinion the artists to follow now?
5 / There are really a lot of talent to discover. I am often overwhelmed when I’m on soundcloud. I still try to find some artists: – Butcher Brown (These guys are the new BadBadNotGood I think they will have a bright future.) – Connective Boyoom (I’m a big fan of the label including artists like Melodiesinfonie, UNDA or Maloon The Boom) – Amin Payne (I’m a big fan of it and especially the beatmaking Australian scene).
6 / Any upcoming dates?
6 / In 2016, we’ll make a release for boulevard 95 and I hope to have the opportunity to get bookings outside Switzerland.
